Courtney has dabbled in yoga her whole life, having begun practicing as young as 8 years old. She became certified to teach Buti Yoga in August of 2017 and went on to complete her 200 Hour RYT Yoga Certification the following November. An Account Executive by trade and an ultramarathon runner, Courtney initially sought yoga to prevent and combat physical injury along with the stress of an intense career. She soon found the practice and the freedom of Yoga, however, to also be a means through which she could better connect with and learn about herself and give herself a break from the stressors of everyday life.
An extremely compassionate and empathetic leader, Courtney seeks to help her students learn that it is OK - and actually necessary - to slow down, give themselves a break and liberate themselves from insecurities, self-judgement and the battles of a busy mind. To Courtney, who grew up a dancer, movement and music is a freedom. It is joy. Therapy. It is an often denied need that is to be shared with the world. Courtney is a wife and mother to two children as well as a long distance runner who loves getting lost in the woods. She revels in the joy of family, music, movement, dance, the outdoors and dogs. An Account Executive who travels frequently, Courtney is a restless soul that yearns to see and enjoy all of God's creations.

A lifelong dancer, Sylvie trained in Vaganova-style ballet at the Academie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace in Monaco and modern and contemporary dance at the University of California Berkeley, where she earned a BA in Dance. During her years as a dancer Sylvie found yoga as a physical practice to support her breathing, deepen her stretching and manage and prevent injuries. Later, while attending graduate school in London and New York City, she discovered that yoga could help train the mind alongside the body. In 2015 she decided to deepen her study of yoga through a 200h teacher training at YogaWorks in New York. She offers yoga as an antidote to a sedentary lifestyle or as support for athletes in training and has taught yoga in studios, at the office, in parks and for kids at summer camp. Her classes seek to balance movement with stillness, challenging students to build endurance while also finding time for reflection. Sylvie and her family recently moved to Ohio from the Big Apple. She teaches preschool French in Toledo and in her spare time she enjoys museum cafes on a rainy day, learning to figure skate, and exploring parks with her baby boy.
